Staying Fit Through Healthy Food

Eating right is very important to stay fit. However it is not necessary to eat bland and tasteless food just to be healthy.

You can come up with excellent recipes that are tasty and yet, very healthy! Here is one such recipe made out of citrus fruits for you to try out:

Staying Fit Through Healthy Food

You will need:

  1. Fat free ricotta cheese: 16 ounces
  2. Confectioners’ sugar: 1/3 cup
  3. Pure vanilla extract: ½ tsp.
  4. Freshly grated lime zest: 1 tsp.
  5. Freshly grated lemon zest: 2 tsp.
  6. Freshly grated orange zest: 1 tbsp.
  7. Semi-sweet chocolate chips: 3 cups
  8. Cannoli shells: 12 [large]

Method:

  1. Take a medium bowl in order to combine sugar, all the zests, cheese, and vanilla. Use an electric mixer to whip these ingredients. Make sure the mixture is fluffy and light.
  2. Now add 2 ½ cups of chocolate chips. The remaining ½ cup will be used later.
  3. Assemble this mixture in cannoli shells using a spoon.
  4. Now, melt the remaining half cup of chocolate chips and drizzle it over the cannoli shells.
